GAMBRILLS, Md. — A man has plead guilty to murder after police found his girlfriend's body inside his van after he strangled and sexually assaulted her.
Back in September 2018 Anne Arundel County Police arrested 27-year-old Edgar Franklin Manning IV, inside his mini van in Gambrills, with the dead body of Megan Burdeaux in the backseat.
Prince George's County Police had already been looking for Manning a day earlier, after his parents had called to tell them that he'd killed Burdeaux, and was driving a red Chevy Astro van around Bowie.
Investigators began to track Manning's cell phone and were guided to the Odenton area, at which point Anne Arundel County Police got involved.
The next day, is when officers spotted the vehicle on Burns Crossing Road and made the gruesome discovery.

Manning originally fought with police as they were trying to arrest him, but later he told them the two got in an argument after which he decided to strangle her.
It was the Chief Medical Examiner who found that Burdeaux had been sexually assaulted before she died.
Sentencing has been set for December 18 at 1:30 P.M. at the Anne Arundel County Circuit Court in Annapolis
