A driver was critically injured in a two-car crash in Edgewater early Thursday morning.
Traffic Safety investigators responded to a crash scene on Solomons Island Road, Maryland Route 2, at Mayo Road in Edgewater around 5:45 a.m., where a 1994 Chevrolet Cavalier sedan heading southbound on MD 2 didn't stop for a red light and struck a 2006 Nissan Altima sedan heading southbound on Mayo Road, investigators said.
The 19-year-old driver of the Chevrolet, Katelyn E. Dolin-Adamson, of Harwood, Md., was flown to Maryland Shock Trauma in Baltimore with critical injuries. The 19-year-old driver of the Nissan, Carlos E. Barrientos Arvealo, of Edgewater, Md., suffered no injuries.
