In a letter sent out to parents and the school community of Cape Saint Claire Elementary School on Wednesday, school administrators state that there was a report of a shooting threat made to a student.
Administrators say that one of their students notified a teacher on Wednesday morning that another student had threatened to shoot him on Tuesday.
The teacher then told the school's administration of the threat and school officials immediately launched an investigation and contacted authorities.
The school has taken an active measure in their investigation and searched the locker of the student who was accused of making the threat along with the locker of a student who was brought up during their interviews.
Appropriate action has been taken and police remain involved in the incident.
Although, no weapon was found during their search school officials believe that there were no weapons inside the school.
School officials ask that parents speak with their children about reporting school threats.
