A tree trimmer is dead after being struck by a large falling limb.
Anne Arundel County Fire officials say they responded just after 3:30 p.m. Sunday to the front of a residence in the 100 block of Sunset Drive for the incident.
Upon their arrival, crews located an unresponsive adult male hanging upside down, harnessed approximately 8 to 10 feet high inside a tree, pinned in between a limb.
The man was removed from the tree by an Anne Arundel County Fire Department special operations team.
EMS pronounced the victim dead at the scene. His identity has not yet been released.
Anne Arundel County Police have assumed control of the investigation. The Occupational Safety and Health Administration has also been notified.
