Two people were sent to the hospital and one of them had to be rescued from their car on Friday after a crash in Glen Burnie.
Firefighters responded to the crash just before 5 p.m. on Southbound I-97 around Wellham Avenue. When they arrived at the crash, they saw two pickup trucks that had rear-ended each other.
The truck that hit the other one had significant front-end damage and the 34-year-old driver was trapped inside. It took crews around 25 minutes to get her out of the car.
Paramedics then took her to Shock Trauma with serious, but not life-threatening injuries.
Her passenger, a 34-year-old man, was also taken to the hospital with minor injuries. The other driver was not injured.
