GLEN BURNIE, Md. — Anne Arundel County officials have identified the human remains that were found near two different apartment complexes on September 30 and October 1.

On Tuesday, the remains from Elvation Road were positively identified as 40-year-old Stacey Deavers and, in working with the Forensic Services Section, they were also able to link the partially recovered remains from Glen Mar Road to the same woman.

The victim was reported missing by her mother on October 2 and, at the time, she was homeless and had not been seen or heard from since August 30.

Family members reported that they last saw Deavers in the 1300 block of Oakwood Road, where she looked frail and sickly. They also mentioned that she was known to frequent the area of Crain Highway and 5th Avenue in Glen Burnie.

The cause and manner of her death are still pending, but this is a very fluid and active investigation.
