GLEN BURNIE, Md. — The Christmas spirit was missing from some in Glen Burnie this year as two separate Royal Farms were targeted only an hour apart.

The robbery and attempted robbery were only separated by two miles, but Anne Arundel County Police say they are still not sure if they are linked at this time.

The first incident happened around 11:30 a.m. at the Royal Farms at 6901 Ritchie Highway when a masked man walked into the store implying he had a weapon and demanding cash. The clerk did not comply so the man grabbed items from the store and ran away.

Exactly an hour later, an attempted robbery at another Royal Farms was reported.

Police responded to the Royal Farms at 7201 Baltimore Annapolis Boulevard after a man implied he had a weapon, jumped on the counter and began to pry the register open with a tool he brought. The man was unable to open the register and ran away.

No injuries were reported in both incidents and police were not able to find the suspects.
