Expect delays and changes in traffic patterns due to lane closures on the Bay Bridge starting July 29 to August 4.
According to the MDTA, The eastbound span may be closed Sunday from 12 a.m. to 5 a.m. The westbound span may be closed Monday through Wednesday from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m., Thursday from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning and Saturday from 11 p.m. to 7 a.m. The lane closures are for preservation/maintenance work or routine annual inspections.
The best times to travel the Bay Bridge this weekend include:
Friday: before 10 a.m. and after 10 p.m.
Saturday: before 7 a.m. and after 5 p.m.
Sunday: before 10 a.m. and after 10 p.m.
The MDTA says lane closures are subject to change and closure times are dependent on traffic volumes.
