Lane shifts and closures planned for MD 175 in Fort Meade

Drivers navigating MD 175 in Fort Meade should be aware of some upcoming lane shifts and closures, the Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration said Thursday.

Beginning Aug. 24, crews will begin paving a stretch of highway beginning at Walker Road. The road work should take about a month to complete. Traffic will shift right on MD 175. The left turn lane from MD 175 to Reece Road will be closed.

With about 25,000 vehicles using that section of MD 175 each day, motorists should plan extra time in their commutes to navigate this road work, MDOT SHA advised.
