Light RailLlink Service from the Patapsco station to the Cromwell and BWI Airport stations resumed Friday at 2 p.m., the Maryland Department of Transportation Maryland Transit Administration said.
The service restoration comes three days ahead of schedule, MDOT MTA said.
Light RailLink service to those stations was suspended followingsafety concerns when flooding eroded portions of the track.
To handle future erosion concerns, MDOT MTA constructed a 36-inch drain pipe under the tracks in the area of the Twin Oaks Light RailLink grade crossing. A 1,200-foot-long concrete drain was also added to minimize flooding, along with further stabilization on the hillside next to the tracks.
