ARNOLD, Md. — Broadneck Elementary School in Anne Arundel County wanted to break a Guinness Book of World Records for National Dr. Seuss Day.

As silly and as cute as it may sound, the students wanted to hold the record for the “largest gathering of people dressed as Dr.Seuss characters.”

They were trying to beat the Guinness Book's standing record of 890 people. And on Friday, a sea full of 932 people dressed up as a Dr. Seuss character to win the record breaking title.

Students, staff, friends, and family all gathered together to make it in the record books. And they made it happen!

Now, it is up to Guinness to put Broadneck Elementary School in their record books and it will officially be documented.
