As Puerto Rico continues to try and recover from the devastation of Hurricane Maria this past September, airline company Southwest partnered with Lucky Dog Animal Rescue to bring the pets to Maryland to find foster and forever homes.

On Saturday, more than 60 dogs and cats who survived Hurricane Maria arrived at Baltimore/Washington International Airport (BWI).

Also, more than 14,000 lbs of humanitarian supplies were delivered to animal rescuers in Puerto Rico. This is in addition to the more than 10,500 lbs of supplies the partners have already sent to San Juan.
