SEVERNA PARK, Md. — Over the weekend, James Lee was arrested when calls came in for a man tampering with cars. Police caught Lee breaking into cars in Severna Park.
Police say Lee may be responsible for hundreds of car break-ins over the last couple of years.
In past break-ins, it seems they looking for one thing, cash.
"In a few incidences we do have him breaking into the car, breaking the windows but, for the most part he was just opening car doors, taking the money and on to the next one," police said.
The police were aware of these break-ins and the public became aware as well.
Victims started posting clear pictures of Lee around their homes and their cars. It gave homeowners and police a better idea of what they were dealing with. Still, they had trouble catching him.
County Police made their arrest at the Shipleys Choice community in Severna Park.
