ANNAPOLIS, Md. (WMAR) — A man was assaulted and robbed Monday night after a group of armed suspects surrounded his car in Annapolis.

It happened around 7 p.m., as the victim and a woman were sitting inside a parked car in a neighborhood in the 200 block of Croll Drive.

Seven men reportedly surrounded the car, two armed with a handgun and another with a shotgun, and ordered the woman out.

Afterwards, the suspects allegedly went through the male victim's pockets and assaulted him.

The victim told police he ran to a nearby home to get help. There he reported seeing one of the suspects get into the car, which was missing when police arrived.

Officers later found the unoccupied vehicle nearby on Mini Court.

The male victim suffered multiple non-life threatening injuries, while the woman was unharmed.

No arrests have been made. Police didn't release a description of any of the suspects.
