JESSUP, Md. — A man was found dead in his car after it struck a tree in Jessup late Sunday, the Anne Arundel County Fire Department said.
Firefighters responded to a report of a vehicle off the road in the area of Route 295 North and the ramp to Route 32 East at about 11:45 p.m. There they found a lone car that had left the road and struck a tree, “causing extreme damage to the vehicle,” fire officials said in a statement.
When firefighters were able to reach the crashed vehicle, they determined the adult male driver, the car’s only occupant, was dead.
The United States Park Police is leading the investigation.
