Maryland State Police reported to the scene of a car collision involving a charter bus transporting Wicomico Middle School students.
After investigating the scene, officials say a white Dodge van was driving on US Route 50 and encountered a slowdown of traffic which made the Dodge hit the back of a purple Acura. In an effort to twitch lanes after striking the Acura, the Dodge then struck the charter bus.
The driver was issued a citation for failure to control speed to avoid a collision.
Police say, seven children and the driver of the Dodge van were transported to Anne Arundel Medical center.
