Motorcyclist dies in Pasadena crash

Posted

A motorcyclist died in a crash in Pasadena Sunday, Anne Arundel County Police said.

At 5:22 p.m. police responded to the scene, where they learned a motorcycle heading west on Baltimore Annapolis Boulevard crossed the centerline and struck a Ford heading south on Waterford Road.

The motorcyclist was thrown from his bike and suffered life-threatening injuries. He was rushed to University of Maryland Shock Trauma where he later died of those injuries. The driver was later identified as Kerry Eugene McKenzie, 57, of Glen Burnie.

An early investigation said the cause of the crash seemed to be McKenzie's failure to remain right of center.

The driver of the Ford, David Paul Shiflett, 25, of Pasadena, was not injured in the crash.
