Anne Arundel County Public Schools contingency planning for winter weather leaves them able to close the school year as scheduled.

The district provided for three days of potential school closings, and they used exactly three. County schools can close as schedule, with most students ending the year on Friday, June 15.

Schools will close two hours early on June 14 and 15. The last day of school for graduating seniors will be Thursday, May 24.

Four schools – Brock Bridge Elementary School, George Cromwell Elementary School, High Point Elementary School, and Shady Side Elementary School – will close a day early on Thursday, June 14, due to summer construction.

The Centers of Applied Technology will end classes Wednesday, June 13. Half-day prekindergarten and ECI students end their programs on June 13 as well. The last day for most school employees will be Monday, June 18.
