A novel written by one of the journalists who died in the shooting at the Capital Gazette newspaper, is going to be published.
Rob Hiassen was a reporter for the newspaper. He was killed in that shooting back in June.
Hiassen had written a book called “Float Plan“ — his first novel — which will now be released on Sept. 15, by Loyola University's Apprentice House Press.

All proceeds from the novel will go to an advocacy group called “Everytown for Gun Safety“.
Hiaasen and four other Capital Gazette employees — Rebecca Smith, Gerald Fischman, Rob McNamara and Wendi Winters — were killed when a gunman opened fire at the office of that newspaper.
