ODENTON, Md — An officer found a motorcyclist dead on the side of the road overnight Thursday in Anne Arundel County.
Paul Thomas Chapman, Jr. ,36, was discovered in a grassy area after police found his bike unattended near Telegraph Road and Route 100.
Police think Chapman exited the Route 100 westbound ramp at a high rate of speed, when he lost control, struck a road sign and was tossed from his Yamaha Roadster.
Though toxicology results are still pending, alcohol is believed to have been a factor.
