One dead, three injured during two separate Glen Burnie crashes

GLEN BURNIE, Md. — Two separate crashes on the same day in Glen Burnie have left one person dead and three others injured, including a 1-year-old girl.

According to Anne Arundel County Police, the first crash happened around 6:45 a.m. on Southbound Route 10 in the area of Furnace Branch Road. Police say firefighters found a 56-year-old woman in her car with injuries that are serious, but not considered to be life-threatening.

Officials say the woman driving left the road and stopped after hitting the guardrail.

Around five hours later, another crash was reported on Eastbound Route 100 in the area of Quarterfield Road, this time two cars were involved. Police say details about the crash are limited at this time, but a 36-year-old man was trapped in his car after the crash and declared dead on the scene.

In the other car was a 22-year-old woman with a 1-year-old girl. Both were transported to the hospital with minor injuries.
