BWI officials said a plane touched down safely Wednesday evening during an emergency landing.
According to a BWI spokesperson, an Omni Airline plane had departed from the airport and had to return due to a precautionary alert with a potential mechanical issue.
Officials told WMAR-2 News that the plane's destination was unknown at the time.
