Police: 60-year-old man assaulted with knife in The Cromwell Shopping Center parking lot

ANNE ARUNDEL, Md. — A man was arrested after assaulting a victim with a knife in an Anne Arundel shopping center parking lot.

On Saturday at about 1:00 a.m., officers responded for a report of an assault at The Cromwell Shopping Center parking lot located on Baltimore and Annapolis Boulevard.

The 60-year-old male victim was seated on the curb when he was approached by the suspect, who assaulted him with a knife, cutting his pants.

The victim provided a description of the suspect and through investigation, officers identified the suspect as 58-year-old Henry James Anderson and applied for charges.

He was taken into custody and transported to Northern District for processing. The victim did not report any injuries as a result of this incident.

Anderson is facing the following charges:

  • Assault-First Degree
  • Assault-Sec Degree
  • Reckless Endangerment
  • Dangerous Weapon-Int/Injure
  • Dangerous Weapon-Conceal
  • Mal Dest Property
