FT. MEADE, Md. — Anne Arundel County detectives have identified and arrested two persons of interest in connection to the assault and armed robbery of a juvenile that happened in the parking lot of Meade Middle School.

With help from the School Resource Unit and the Board of Education's Security Unit, an identification was made of the two suspects. Search and Seizure warrants were delivered to both suspects' homes, and they were arrested without incident.
The suspects, 18-year-old Diego Rodriguez, of Severn, and 16-year-old Uthman Adegboyega, also of Severn, are being charged with armed robbery, theft and assault related charges. Rodriquez and Adegboyega are both being charged as adults.
Police alleged Rodriquez and Adeboyega approached a male juvenile, with one asking to use his phone before beginning to strike the boy. At that point the other robber produced a gun.
Detectives were able to recover evidence related to the incident during the course of the investigation. However, anyone with additional information is asked to call the Western District Unit at (410) 222-6155.
