ANNAPOLIS, Md. — A man was arrested after he broke into someone's Annapolis home and fell asleep on their couch.

Officers say an observant caller reported a suspect breaking into a nearby home.

When officers arrived on scene, they found the suspect inside the home. After securing the area, officers found the suspect asleep on a couch.

According to police, the suspect appeared disoriented and intoxicated and was taken to Anne Arundel Medical Center for treatment. Officers contacted the resident, who said that he had met the suspect that day, but the suspect did not have permission to enter his home.

The suspect was identified as Connor Iannuzzi, 24, of Annapolis. He is being charged with five criminal counts relating to the burglary.

Iannuzzi was released by the District Court Commissioner on his own recognizance.
