ANNAPOLIS — A man died in an accidental drowning after police say he jumped from the Spa Creek Bridge.
On Friday at about 1:27 am, officers along with the Annapolis Fire Department, Anne Arundel County Fire Department and the United States Coast Guard responded to the Spa Creek Bridge for a report of a man who jumped from the bridge.
Officials said when they arrived on scene, they found and recovered the body of the victim. Annapolis Police identified him as 33-year-old John Grider.
Preliminary investigation indicates this appears to be an accidental drowning.
