BROOKLYN, Md. — Two men are in custody after police say they forced their way into a motel room and robbed a victim at knife point.

It happened Tuesday around 12:30 a.m., at the Budget Plaza Motel in the 4800 block of Ritchie Highway.

Arriving Anne Arundel County officers found a female and injured male in the room, two other men hiding.

The two men hiding allegedly knocked on the door and when the man inside the room answered, the suspects assaulted him and held him up against the bed threatening to stab him.

Both men then reportedly took the victim's money and wallet. As they were about to leave the room, police arrived and arrested the suspects. They were identified as Walter Edwards 3rd and Donald Portis Jr.

It's unclear at this point if there was any connection to the suspects and victims.

Northern District Detectives are handling the investigation and are asking anyone with any additional information to call 410-2220-6135 or the TipLine 410-222-4700.
