ANNAPOLIS, Md. (WMAR) — Annapolis police are looking for two suspects wanted in connection to a Monday night shooting.

Officers were dispatched around 10:20 p.m., to the 400 block of Ruffian Court.

Police say an 18-year-old victim met up with an unidentified male and female to "conduct a transaction" inside their car.

Once the victim got inside the car, the man allegedly pulled a handgun and demanded money.

The victim and suspect began to struggle over the handgun causing it to fire and strike the victim in the lower torso.

Both suspects then assaulted the victim before driving off.

The victim was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Officers searched the area but were unable to locate the suspects or car. The vehicle is white, but police aren't sure of the make and model.

Police didn't specify what kind of transaction was being made.
