(WMAR) — The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration is conducting road work along eastbound MD 214 on Central Avenue west of Brick Church Road in Anne Arundel County on Wednesday.
MDOT SHA officials say crews are working to repair pavement damage caused by a pipe failure under the road.

Officials are asking drivers to use MD 424 on Davidsonville Road or MD 2 on Solomons Island Road as alternate routes. It is also encouraged to allow extra commute time.
MD 214 will remain closed at Riva Road until repairs are complete.
