ARNOLD, Md. — A 16-year-old boy is in critical condition following a skateboard accident in Arnold, the Anne Arundel County Fire Department said.
Firefighters received the call for the injured boy in the area of Bay Green Drive and Caddie Drive at about 7:49 p.m. Thursday.
Witnesses say the boy was riding his skateboard down a hill when he fell and struck his head. A Maryland State Police medevac helicopter landed at Broadneck Elementary School to transport the boy to R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore.
The teen’s injuries were considered critical and potentially life-threatening.
