LAUREL, Md. — A 39-year-old man is in custody after a double shooting in Laurel on August 31, at approximately 2 a.m.
Laurel Police responded to the area of Route 198 and Sixth Street for a reported shooting involving two men in the parking lot of the Super Suds Laundromat.
When police got to the scene, officers located two men suffering from gunshot wounds and immediately rendered aid. Both victims were transported to a local hospital for further treatment and are expected to survive their wounds.
Detectives were able to identify a suspect and ultimately found him in Baltimore City.
Anne Arundel and Baltimore City police assisted Laurel officers in apprehending the suspect. He is currently in custody in Baltimore City pending charges and will face further criminal charges in Laurel upon his release.
