LAUREL, Md. — A Saturday altercation between teenagers at a Laurel tobacco shop left one stabbed and another in custody.
It all started around 3:45 in the afternoon at the Tobacco Park Store located at 3511 Laurel Fort Meade Road.
Anne Arundel County Police say 16-year-old was involved in some dispute with four other guys.
The victim eventually left in a car, but the others caught up with him in the area of Marganza South and Wenona South, where the assault began.
One of the suspects, later identified as 17-year-old James Alexander Cantoral, allegedly stabbed the victim.
He was arrested and is being charged as an adult with attempted first and second degree murder and assault.
The victim was taken to a hospital and is expected to survive.
It's unclear what the argument was about and if the victim and suspect knew each other.
Police didn't say if the other three people involved would face charges.
