HANOVER, Md. (WMAR) — A man is in custody after stabbing two family members and acquaintances Friday night in Hanover.
Anne Arundel County Police were first dispatched to the 1600 block of Deer Meadow Court around 8:15 p.m. for an unknown disturbance.
Arriving officers found three adult male victims suffering from apparent stab wounds.
Investigators later determined that 32-year-old Mathew Kirchner stabbed the two victims and also injured himself.
Police found that Kirchner knew the victim's and was even related to at least one of them.
Both victims were transported to Shock Trauma. One has since been released while the other remains in stable condition under police guard.
An arrest warrant was obtained for Kirchner on charges of attempted murder. He is also currently hospitalized at Baltimore Washington Medical Center under police guard.
It's unclear if anyone else involved will be charged. Police haven't yet released any further details.
