SEVERNA PARK, Md. — There is no better feeling than placing your new born on your chest, nestled next to your heart.

When Tucker Mullen was born, all was right with the world. Then it wasn’t.

Tucker was born with a bad heart.

Then our heart broke when he died last January.

Sierra Mullen was 17 at the time when she delivered her baby boy. She had no idea she would leave the hospital empty handed and devastated.

The moment he died, Sierra decided to wake up everyday to honor her son. She and her mom, Michele, have started Tucker’s Teddies.

These teddy bears will be handed to parents so they never have to leave the hospital alone.

The bears will go to children so they can sleep with Tucker before their operation in the morning. These bears will go to the nurses so that they can find comfort when the hospital floor is empty and quiet.
