Two people are dead and two hurt after a three car head on-crash crash in Edgewater Sunday afternoon.

Police said the crash happened around 4:30 on Solomon’s Island Road near Swallow Lane in Edgewater.

Witnesses told police a Toyota was driving north on Solomon’s Island Road when it crossed the center line and hit a Honda head-on in the south bound lane. A Ford behind the Honda hit both cars causing the Honda to flip over.

The driver of the Honda, identified as 21-year-old Daniel Amos of Elkton, was pronounced dead at the scene. Kayla Amos, 20, a passenger in the Honda was taken to Shock Trauma where she died Monday morning.

Two additional people were hurt, one seriously. A third person with minor injuries refused treatment.

Police said alcohol and speed were not factors in the crash.
