Two more schools have been approved to end their year one day early.
On Wednesday Anne Arundel County Public Schools announced the last day of classes for Richard Henry Lee Elementary and Corkran Middle will be Thursday, June 14.
Waivers were granted by the Maryland State Department of Education to allow time for the moving of materials and supplies from one school to another.
Students in first through fifth grade at Richard Henry Lee Elementary will attend school at Corkran Middle over the next two school years. Kindergartners will be housed at Oakwood Elementary during that period of time.
Waivers were previously issued to Brock Bridge, George Cromwell, High Point and Shady Side Elementary Schools, for various construction projects.
The last work day for Unit I and IV employees at all six schools remains Monday, June 18.
