A U.S. Navy Seaman can finally be laid to rest back home.
Navy Seaman 1st Class William Bruesewitz was assigned to the battleship USS Oklahoma when the ship was attacked by a Japanese aircraft in 1941 in Pearl Harbor.
Bruesewitz was killed during the attack, and it wasn't until November when The Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency announced that he was accounted for in March.
His remains were returned to his family at BWI Marshall Airport Thursday evening for a scheduled burial with full military honors.
Bruesewitz will be laid to rest on Friday at the Arlington National Cemetery for Pearl Harbor Day.
