A Glen Burnie woman was killed in a multi-vehicle crash in the Point Pleasant neighborhood Thursday night.
The accident happened on Point Pleasant Road near Genine Drive around 10:30 p.m. Anne Arundel County Police said Latasha Beulah Jones, 46, was the passenger in a Mercury Grand Marquis driven by Todd Hannahs, 40, also of Glen Burnie, when Hannahs crossed the road’s center line and struck a Dodge Caliber driven by Emily Rose Orme, 20, of Glen Burnie.
Jones had to be cut from the vehicle by fire personnel, and was taken to Shock Trauma, where she was pronounced dead. Orme was taken to Harbor Hospital with minor injuries.
Hannahs was not injured.
Police said the damp roadway and alcohol use were a factor in the crash.
Traffic Safety is handling the investigation.
