A woman was seriously injured in a car crash Monday morning.
The accident happened on the Baltimore Washington Parkway near route 295 north before the Patapsco River and route 895 just before 12:50 a.m.
Crews responded to the scene and found an overturned SUV with the driver trapped inside. Officials say the woman hit an occupied van on the shoulder of route 295.
Firefighters were able to get the woman out in about 15 minutes. She was taken to shock trauma with serious but not life-threatening injuries.
