2 Baltimore City Police officers injured in car crash

Two Baltimore City Police officers were injured in a car accident Saturday afternoon, according to police.

At approximately 6:11 p.m., a civilian vehicle and collided with the marked patrol car at the intersection of Forest Park Avenue and Windsor Mill Road, causing other vehicles to crash in a chain reaction.

The two officers in the patrol car were transported to University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center as a precaution. They sustained non-life threatening injuries.

The officers involved are assigned to the Southwest District. The accident occurred at the district boarder, which intersects with Baltimore county.
