Hundreds of volunteers from Under Armour and the Heart of America Foundation tackled a huge project Friday. They transformed and improved three schools in Baltimore in just one day.
At Harlem Park Elementary/Middle School, volunteers threw out old furniture, gave the gym a makeover, created a teacher fitness center and painted the walls in the hallways.
"Without Under Armour and Heart of America and all the volunteers that came out this work would have taken years to get done and it all happened in a day," said Harlem Park Elementary/Middle School Principal Denisha Logan. "For us, it's amazing."
In total, there were 2,000 volunteers. They also created an outdoor learning space at Francis Scott Key Elementary/Middle School and gave the gym and teachers lounge a makeover at Collington Square Elementary/Middle School.
