3 Baltimore non-profits in the running for a $25,000 grant

A contest is now underway to support causes that make a positive impact in their neighborhoods, and give the groups behind the causes a boost.

Communities across the U.S. submitted entries for their favorite causes to the State Farm Neighborhood Assist grant program. Those were whittled down to 200 finalists, which includes three in Baltimore

  • Humanim Inc., for School of Food Community Kitchen
  • Sharp Dressed Man, for Sharp Dressed Man
  • Reading Partners, for Reading Partners Baltimore

 

Now it's time to vote. The 40 causes that get the most votes will each receive a $25,000 grant. Voting starts Wednesday, August 15 and runs through Friday, August 24. You can vote up to ten times a day. You can cast your votes here.
