3 rescued in tanker truck crash early Wednesday

Posted
Baltimore City fire officials responded to the intersection of S. Hanover Street and Reedbird Ave for reports of a rescue call with entrapment early Wednesday morning.

When officials arrived, they found a vehicle had collided with a tanker truck.

Two individuals were trapped in the car, and fire officials were able to rescue both individuals.

Three medic units were requested to scene. Two adults were transported to an area hospital in serious condition, and one minor was taken to an area hospital in stable condition.

The tanker truck had a placard on it for gasoline but fire officials were able to confirm that the truck was empty and there were no spills on area streets.

The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
