36-year-old man killed in South Baltimore has been identified

BALTIMORE — A man was killed after being shot in South Baltimore.

On Sunday at about 1:40 p.m., Southern District patrol officers were called to the 2000 block of Ramsay Street to investigate a reported shooting.

Officers found a 36-year-old Michael Alston suffering from gunshot wounds.

Alston was transported to University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center and pronounced dead by medical personnel shortly after arrival.

Homicide detectives were called to the scene and assumed control over the investigation.
