BALTIMORE, Md. — The country's largest free arts festival returns for its 36th year next month. Artscape's theme this year is "Discover," in honor of the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing.
The festival has been a summer tradition for Baltimore since 1982.
SWV (also known as Sisters With Voices), The English Beat and The James Brown Dance Party are set to headline Artscape.
There will also be some new additions this year including a poetry workshop, short films, and the Artist Books, Prints, Multiples & Editions Fair.
"Shop, buy and collect one of a kind works of art from 100+ vendors at the Artists' Market now located on Charles Street, and of course delicious offerings from Baltimore's favorite food vendors" said Kathy Horing, COO of the Baltimore Office of Promotion & the Arts.
This year's Artscape will be from July 19 through July 21.
