BALTIMORE — Do you have empty wine bottles that you don’t know what to do with?

Since Baltimore is not collecting recycling for the next couple of weeks, one local restaurant decided to get creative.

Angeli’s Pizzeria in Baltimore is offering a $1 discount for every wine bottle you bring in. If you bring 15 you can get a large cheese pizza on them.

“When we came to open Angeli’s one morning, we saw the recycling was still in front of our neighbor’s house. We let them know the city’s recycling (DPW) would not be able to pick up their recycling for three weeks. We offered to take their recycling since we work with a private recycling company. They were really appreciative and this gave us the idea for giving our community a way to continue to recycle during the pandemic— and try our delicious pizza at a discounted price,” explained owner Juniet Ozturk.

Angeli’s Pizzeria is located in Little Italy, click here to be led to their website.
