Baltimore City State's Attorney Marilyn Mosby officially files for re-election.

Mosby has been in office since 2015 when she became one of the youngest top prosecutors in the country.

During her first year in office, the city reached an 80-percent homicide conviction rate, despite a 20-percent increase in homicide cases.

"It's really time to move our city forward, we've made some great progress in the city but there so much work to do," said Mosby.

The other candidates are former Deputy Attorney General Thiru Vignarajah and Defense Attorney Ivan Bates.
