BALTIMORE — Today a five-year strategic plan was announced by the Baltimore Department of Recreation and Parks.

The goal is to improve facilities and develop programs that the city wants and the agency wants to hear from the public.

"Secondly, we're having a total of 8 town hall meetings throughout the city starting with September 27th with our first meeting at Shake & Bake Fun Center," said Reginald Moore, Director of Baltimore City Recreation and Parks. "In that meeting is where we want the community to come out and shaire their opinions and their thoughts."

For the first time since the 1970s, all Baltimore City Rec Centers are now open on Saturdays, which began this past weekend.
