BALTIMORE — Baltimore Police confirm that a man who was shot 18 years ago died from his injuries in March.
According to the report, officers responded to shooting in the 100 block of W. Fayette Street, during the early morning of September 4, 2000. There, they found 22-year-old Alfredo Brathwaite, who was later paralyzed as a result of being shot.
On March 5, 2019, Baltimore Police said, now 40 years-old Alfredo Brathwaite died at a hospice in Howard County, Maryland. His remains were transported to the State Medical Examiner's office where an autopsy was to be performed.
On March 29, 2019, The Medical Examiner’s Office ruled that Brathwaite died as a result of being shot in September of 2000. Baltimore Police homicide detectives were notified of this on April 2, 2019.
