Baltimore Police investigate a Saturday evening shooting

BALTIMORE — Baltimore Police are investigating a Saturday afternoon shooting that they believe happened in the Southwest District.

At about 3 p.m., officers were called to an area hospital for a report of a walk-in shooting victim. When they arrived, they found a 31-year-old man that was being treated for a gunshot wound to his back. Investigators believe he was shot while in the 4700 block of Frederick Avenue.

Detectives from the Citywide Shooting Unit are investigating this incident, so anyone with information is asked to either call (410) 396-2221 or call Metro Crime Stoppers at 1-866-7Lockup.
